Many new studies on the use of cord blood stem cells have been released in the past few weeks. Very excited about the study at the University of Texas for hearing disorders. Children who have hearing loss due to the loss of hair cells in the Organ of Corti  will be  recruited for this study if the have  their own cord blood stem cells stored. Children need to be between the ages of 6 weeks to 18 months and have evidence of moderate to profound sensorineural hearing loss.
